I’ve used a non ferrous metal cutting blade on my makita circular saw to cut lots of aluminum plate .100″ to 1/4″, cuts very well, but very loud and lots of hot chips. Full face shield, ear muffs and long sleeves highly recomende, but cuts very well. Chios under the saw plate tends to scratch up the surface tho, so protect it if looks are important. I’ve used the same blade on my chop saw to cut aluminum tubing and bar stock as well, i think for non ferrous metal the rpm isn’t as much of a factor, i wouldn’t try the steel cutting blades at such high rpm.
