Anyone saw that UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell said he nuts were torn in half by his drill?

He made an announcement on his social media:

“so i was gunna train today but I ripped my nutsack in half. im bout to get stitched up, i was holdn a board over my head with a drill n my pants. i was sizin up the board n the drill went off n tangled my nuts up n it. i dropped the board and reversed the drill and untangled my nutsack but they was ripped n half. im serious too lol. i obviously cant post a pic. but wen my nuts r seald back up ima come train again. i think a high kick would re rip them haha. and if i hear any s–tty punts bout how … this is nutty or screwed up i aint talked to u for bout a month. if ure gunna drop a pun to make fun of me at least put sum thot into [it] lol.”

Drill in his pants? Must be a small 12V?

Think we might be seeing safeties in drills in the future?

Or nut protective wear for contractors?

Now, I knew that portable drills were the most frequent cause of jobsite power tool injuries, but that is just crazy. I mean what are the chances?

yes, and I wonder what kind of a bit it is. A driver bit or a drill bit?

apparently he posted a pic of his pants.

Bosch drills have the middle position to lock the drill.

Shew, That’s a good reminder to not put a drill in pants.

Glad I don’t put drills in that position. I knew a person who took a nail there when his partner dropped a framing nailer to the floor. I still cringe thinking of that one.

must have drilled pretty deep to have to go reverse to back it out.

It also might not have happened if he hadn’t been wearing boxers and just briefs.

I was just thinking, it could be worse if he had a one handed sawzall in his pants!

Just speculating, just a simple standard drill bit won’t “tore his nuts in half”.

I think it’s had to be a Bosch DareDevil spade bit.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. If the tip just grabs a piece of flimsy pocket material with it’s leading sharp edge, away it goes. I had an experience myself many years ago with a drill and my T shirt. No blood involved, but it did remind me of the cardinal rule about loose clothing or jewellery around powered tools can be perilous.

His drill bit is unharmed, it’s the dual 18V batteries that’s “out of juice”.
