ProI was really intrigued when I first heard about the versatip – I imagine it is not for pros who need to use a micro torch often, but it sounds like it does a variety of things decently well

I have a Benzomatic Micro Torch. Looks like a smaller version of the Dremel except it doesn’t have a ignitor. I like it a lot.
I’m thinking the Dremel is a little too large but I’ll check it out if I see one at a store.

ProThis looks like a pretty interesting new product – a vacuum powered rotary tool.

Exactly – like Stuart said, I can’t believe it hasn’t been done before now… but at $30, it may be worth a try

ProKinda interesting but if I have to plug in I’d might as well use my corded Moto Tool.
February 27, 2015 at 5:27 am #283651I don’t know. On the one hand it is interesting, on the other I probably won’t be buying one.

ModeratorOLD THREAD WARNING.
Thought I’d place this request here for lack of a better place and in case some of you don’t follow the Toolaholics thread where I posted this also. I need help on this issue.
I just got an E-Flyer from Lowes and they have what I think is a good deal on a Dremel kit that I just bought online. I’ve thought of many times buying a Dremel for oddball tasks, but I just never came across a deal that seemed to make me want to spring for one. This may the one, although I am not ‘up’ on these Dremel tools and their kit configurations and whether this is in fact a good value or not.
Could someone let me know if this is a decent deal and/or also that the Dremel unit being offered is not some inferior POS model in their line?
It’s basically half price, or so Lowes’ says. I placed an order as I noticed stock levels for in store units is very scarce right now.
Thanks in advance for any guidance. I just may cancel my order based on what kind of replies I get.
