The 3D printers will begin to drop in price as more models become available.

If you haven’t seen my previous post, check Amazon for 3d printers. Hundreds available starting at about $200. The future is now apparently.

the problem with those ones are the resolution is not the greatest. You end up getting disfigured blobs from the cheaper ones lol.

ProThe other problem with the cheap 3d printers
1) very slow print times
2) extruders that clog easily
3) maximum height of the object is limited compared to more expensive modelsFebruary 5, 2016 at 1:37 am #467242The other problem with the cheap 3d printers

I got on a list to get something printed out, unfortunately the people running the show don’t really know what they are doing and i gave up. They didn’t know how to use the usb stick to get the files to print in the root folder.
February 5, 2016 at 5:28 am #467295well i recently found out that our local library just bought a 3d printer,
Our library system does not have one yet and they don’t know if they will get one. Nice that yours does have one though. You just need to show them how to use it.

lol i couldn’t be bothered, you’d need to show them how to use a usb stick first. I don’t get this makerspace they wanted to do.

February 5, 2016 at 7:07 pm #467598I saw on the news a few weeks ago, a hospital used a 3d printer to allow a blind pregnant woman to “see” her ultrasound.

I found the printable file and had it sent to a 3d printshop. Ordered 14 clips (same price as 1). We will see how they turn out
Maybe clip lboxxes to the bottom and sides of my bench…. Or walls

Great link! I know at some point I will be needing these. These should be standard and included with any L-boxx purchase.

February 5, 2016 at 9:49 pm #467696@Montreal_Medic I noticed that site has lots of trade related designs. I don’t even have a 3D printer but know I will be checking that page out often. Cheers
