Some small change in plans. I got a big used air compressor the other day. I will use all the parts exept the tank on my new design “compressor build”

Congrats Ivan , it looks like it’s in good condition

Thanks, but i’m not that happy with the tank of that compressor.

Some more progress on the build. I ditched the tank on the compressor i just got. It only have 2-2,5mm steel thickness, and it’s made in 1994. Hard to see inside the tank because i don’t have a small flaschlight. I just don’t take the risk. My 6mm wall thikness air tanks is more safe and a better choise

Looking good. That will be nice compressor when you are done.

    Some small progress:

Man your welds are some nice smooth and consistent work ,
    Always nicely done Ivan
It’s going to be very nice

Your right his welds are nice.

Thanks. Here are some more progress:

Looking good Ivan , did you just use a sander to get the plate cleaned up
    Again nice job
I showed the welds to my friend who is a welder at work , he said nicely done 👍

I just use a wire wheel on my grinder, and a little bit sand paper after that.

There has been little posting on the forum in the past, but that doesn’t mean anything has happened. Have had a leak checked with soapy water all of the welds and connections of 0.3 bar with compressed air, no leaks.
Then drained the air and filled it up with water, then increased the pressure to 15 bar. Test ok 🙂

It certainly is a unique design, and colour. I like it.

    Great job , looks amazing
Nice to see you have it covered with the cage , see to many of them without any sort of coverage over the pulley and wheels 👌👍

Looks great Ivan , looks like you have a good selection of compressors around the shop , I like the green one on the floor.
    Unless it’s something else 🤷‍♂️
