    This morning I took my boy to the airport to go to Molokai for the Molokai Hoe race on Sunday.

    You got that right. I can’t even begin to think about paddling for 41 miles. Yet alone while trying to be the fastest one out there.

    41 miles? How long does it take to do that? A easy 5 mile canoe trip with river current helping me wears me out!

    Man the Shel Va’a team was moving on. 6.4 mph average is quick.
    Looks like the Tahiti teams dominated overall.

    That sure looks like quite the race, 41 miles.. I’d be dead less than halfway through it. Kudo’s to your son for running in the race and finishing a respectable 35th.

    We have what’s called Dragon Boat Race, heck I think they might go for maybe a mile?? The water sure is no where near as rough as what your son had to race in.

    Jesus that looks brutal, I couldn’t believe only 6 per boat and they even change on the fly, incredible.
    Young as 21 and the oldest is if I remember him saying 33ish, good for your son. Hope he enjoys it and does well.

    @58chev
    I was in the dragon boat team also, the men’s team, that was fun.

    Honolulu,, Hi.

    Well today I worked on a kitchen I started yesterday. On plans, the cabinets don’t fit on the wall spaces and the best on is there’s only 17″ in between the lowers and uppers. That’s 15½ when the counter top is on???? I text that info to the PM and got a Oh Chit in response. I think the problem is someone thought there were 8′ ceilings but noooooo they are only 7’9″ ceilings. That’s why I had them bring me a 85$ fsetool melamine blade for the track saw so I can cut down the 3 pantry cabinets.
