Super excited one this new saw . Hopefully we hear more Friday on it at the Dewalt event in Nashville , Tennessee . I’ve heard from good source it’s more powerful then the maktia rear handle saw .

    Always willing to learn .

Oh my, that’s pretty sweet. I never thought I would see a rear handle worm drive style cordless saw.

Looks to me like a sidewinder with the battery on top. Better handling and balance IMO.

BE the change you want to see.

Like with Makita, they’re being really careful to call it a “rear handled” circular saw. So I doubt that it is a worm drive. As soon as somebody can get that kind of torque with a battery, I would bet money they’ll be calling it what it is and parading it around.

Very true, as soon as I saw the handle and general look of it I just got too excited and assumed worm. Especially with being on the flexvolt platform.

Check out the new dewalt rear handle saw how it compares to the makita and in the back I believe a corded skilsaw.

    Honolulu,, Hi.

Better late than never, I’ve been using the Makita saw for 4 months now and it’s great!
Stanley Black&Decker playing catch up again.

Ripping down a 4×12 here, full 2 5/8″ deep rips like a boss!

You know that’s how it always goes dirty, one company makes it, and the other makes it better.

in that IG video from toolpig it shows that the dewalt rear handle saw cuts faster than the makita rear handle.
Not quite sure yet what you can do with the bluetooth option on the dewalt.
Maybe adjusting the cutting speed or so ?!

haha…some companies learn and other still think it’s worthless.

Probably speed setting for different material, maybe temperature, when it needs service, maybe it also shows other problems when the tool does not function properly.

It looks like a saw that needs a recharged battery, just sitting there. Just saying.

LMAO!!! I’m like you and just don’t have this new fangled video stuff down lol.
The good part I do like is takes that same batteries as all my other Makita tools and I don’t need to carry a extra charger and batteries for it.
