That’s pretty interesting.
I was thinking about it , but we don’t have any snow on the ground here anymore , it looked like he was crotch high after he dug out the center. The hard, dense snow he was cutting, the lighter snow he cleared away to begin, falling snow and so on each has its own Inuit word.

If it had a cordless multi tool I would totally use it t finish cuts. Unfortunately mine is corded and I’d have to drag out a cord specifically for it as almost all my tools are cordless.
