@jponto07 wished I had a facebook page, then I could post how nice your work is in the pictures. Logo really stands out

Well, I split from my former partner a couple months ago and I am once again in the process of designing a logo. Here’s a link to the finalists.

@jponto07 oh man, sorry to hear about that, it’s not easy at times having a partner.
Hopefully you guys left on a good note.

As the logos go, I like how one with the tree and the hand plane underneath.

Thanks for the feedback….and don’t be sorry. That partnership was doomed from the beginning. Things are much better this way.

Number 93. Simply because the ‘carpentry and construction’ lettering is the most discernable and the logo has a border as well.

Nothing really sticks out and WOW’s me. What about shaping a WB into a walnut nut for Walnut Builders?

I like 96 it’s the one that caught my eye and it’s. Little simpler but not to simple. The last 2 are to busy for a logo and the first one although simple just doesn’t come together in one good package like 96 does. Just my opinions take them or leave them.

96 for me. I think the broad tree with roots won’t look as good small (corner of a business card), and is too busy. The simplicity of 96 appeals to me, and the lack of relying on shading lends a clean look whether it’s on stationary, clothing, or whatever.

How much hand planing do you do? I know it’s a vogue symbol these days, and is synonymous with building, but to me a #4 handplane is not really a carpentry tool. I don’t, however, do much carpentry so for all I know you use a #4 a lot. To me that’s a woodworking (furniture building) icon. It also gives a bit too much of a hipster vibe. I’d skip the ones with the planes.

i personally like 96, i think out of all the logos that is the best one, eye catchingly simple.

    Thanks for your help guys!

I made some modifications to number 96 and have finalized the design process. Here is where we ended up.

I like that one better now than originally voting for # 93.

Looks like every other woodworker out there . Doesn’t stand out in my opinion . Maybe cause of the circle design .

    Always willing to learn .

I may have missed something but does the “Timber” stand for anything like specializing in timber framing? the logo looks great, I am just curious how you link the name to what you do.
