    I think unless you can or need to build something custom, or very special of fine woodworking, it is a waste of time unless you have tons of time on your hands.

    I am not sure totally agree with this. You could say this about anything a person does.

    It does take alot time to build stuff. I get that. But the more you do the quicker you get at it. Plus the skills you are learning while making this piece of furniture. When you are done making this piece of furniture how rewarding it feels to have accomplish this task.

    When making stuff for yourself your time is your own so really it isn’t wasted and it gets you off the couch.
