Wow that is pretty cool. I wonder how it would be strength wise?

Cool build but it seems like somebody had too much time on their hands.

I would have to agree Dirty. Neat project but not a lot of practical uses.

That was pretty cool…and he used a Bosch sander in part of it!

This was a cool video of someone making a replica TS55 with Festool tools for a contest a few years ago:

I think that vice would be pretty strong considering it’s wood. Great for wood working projects I’m sure. Hate to say it again, but if there was leather on the jaws, that would top it off.

I like the bite on the vice should have leather lips.

It looks like it would be fairly tough for some light weight wood working, It’s very cool but some of his working habits made me cringe in regards to safety. Chucking up a tap in a drill to cut threads in that rod was just wrong…And scary, What a great way to break it off in the hole. A neat build for sure and Thanks for the link

Is that the same guy? It looks like his safety practices got a little better. I like how he uses some other ones he’s made to clamp this one up

Interesting for sure. Not too certain how practical it is. There’s a pace for it, and then there’s not. It’s crafty, for sure.

Pretty cool stuff. At some point, there weakest link or area of these tools will be tested and could give way where a metal or another stronger material might excel; however, its a neat idea and great to see the finished product.
