Sure, now that I just purchased the PS41 they come out with the PS42!

Lon last December Jim said the PS42 would be on the list when it came out, so you can order one and compare it.

That would make a nice kit to have. Just need Bosch to read through this thread and take some notes. LOL 😉

That is a possibility Bill. It would be good to do a side by side comparison. I will have to save my piggies.

Bosch Power Tools NA twittered @ commented ToolGuyd’s tweet.
I heard May at WorldOfConcrete as a release date/month but looks like we got some more information. June is it now!

And what is the Euro equivalent what BoschNA is calling the PS82BN (Wrench)? I’d like to see the specs on that. Tried Googling for this, but no luck.

Bosch GDS 10,8 V-EC (european model name)
attached a picture I took at WorldOfConcrete
    some specs:
    The PS82 has around 1020 in-lbs with a 3/8″ square drive.
It has two torque and speed settings.
Weight is at around 2 lbs (with a 2.5ah Battery).

I spend my day writing a review from WorldOfConcrete including stuff from the PS42 and PS82. Just waiting for Jim’s permission to post it.

That’s what I want! That’s pretty decent torque for a 12V tool. The bigger 18V impacts max around 1600 in/lb. The 18V wrench hits 6K though.

I asked Jim a while back to add the bare tool friction ring 18V wrench to the list which he indicated likely would not be a prob. Will probably show up there in the not too distant future.

    the BC430 right?
BC330 is the 60min charger and 430 does it in 30 I guess.
you are right with that. Bosch should start to put the fast charger in the kits. in Germany even the 10,8V starter kits come with the faster charger.
now they also have the 2.5ah battery starter kit with the fast charger.
I’ll move back to Germany lol.

June gonna be her faster as you can say: I want the PS42 now 😛
Curious if we gonna see it here in NA too.

Starting last year every kit I received had the fast charger in it.

    Kevin,
ThanX for the video, looks like it will be a big hit once it comes to the NA market. Eventually I’d to add that to my shop.

Really? I bought a 12v recip kit and it had the slow charger. I’ve only actually bought one 12v kit with a fast charger…and that was some kind of special buy that came with 2 lboxes…drill/impact in an l box and an L1 included!

That’s a very nice little impact, that would be great over here on the production line, we use 10/32 to 5/16 bolts on the majority of our assemblies, I am going to have to show this to my boss 🙂 thanks Kevin

I don’t remember where I read it but someone was complaining about the new 12v kits coming with 1 hour chargers and Bosch replied that back in 2012 new energy efficiency requirements went into place. The 30 minute charger didn’t meet the new requirements and therefore they could no longer produce them. That is why they have the 1 hour charger.

Aren’t fast chargers detrimental to battery longevity? They are great for those who need it, but the lifespan of the battery is what you are trading off.
