It might be charged by lunch. If you need a battery charged don’t put it in a Power Boxx!

Yup, the PB needs juice for things more important than charging batteries.

It’d probably be faster to plug the power box in then plug a charger into one of the power box outlets lol.

The only battery I do charge in the power boxes is the ones that I keep in them to operate, And I store them both plugged in so they’re always ready to go. That way I know I always have two fully charged batteries for tools too

I cab attest to that. I only use the pb360 when I am already using up all my chargers.

Yeah the PB’s charger is really slow.

That’s what I typically do also.

One thing odd though is that I can get a day plus out of a 4.0 battery, but a 2.0 only seems to last 2-3 hours. All my batteries are no older than 2015. I would have thought a 2.0 would give me 5-7 hours or so.

Thanks. Sounds like that’s everybody’s experience with using the 360 to charge a battery.

Second tunderstorm and the PB360 BT is working like a charm. I may just lay a garbage bag over at night now that I know it can handle to rain. Impossible for anyone to grab the Power box unless they manually climb up 5 stories of scaffolding on a building with intense security.

Nice that it survives the rain and keeps on working. Thank you for the update.

Sounds like it would have to be an oceans 11 kinda hob to steal it lol

Sounds like I need to leave a radio out for the rain to come down. Nice to know that the 360 has survived yet another rain fall.

So, doesn’t any water get thru the upper four speaker cages and maybe stays pooled inside their enclosed wells Chris? @Utopia78

Just the pooling under the handle. Otherwise the rain had had no effect on performance. I do cover it now if there is rain overnight.

Thats pretty impressive, i don’t think any of us would’ve been brave enough to go test it out lol, your accidental testing is pretty funny and beneficial to us lol

Yeah I know my older model PB10 takes approximately 3 hours to charge a 2.4 ah ni-cad battery, my other half hour charger is what I use, never charge them in the power box 🙁

    @utopia78
some great testing you have been doing Chris,
If it has passed your tests, it’s good for me.
I probably will try to buy a model with the remote control,

I think covering it with a bag is a good idea anyway, Glad to know it’ll handle it though. The speakers are one area I’d worry about and maybe even around the lighted display…

I probably will try to buy a model with the remote control,

Yep, The 360 ‘D’ is still my favorite. Good luck in your search cuz they’ve become very rare, I’m so glad I got mine when I did. I wish they both were the ‘D’

I would have liked one of those as well. How long ago were they replaced?

I think I’d rather get the older ‘S’ before the latest ‘C’ model, it’s about half the cost and has more gadgets. Then simply add a Blueteeth receiver to it for $10-$15ish, that way ya keep both aux in and the aux out ports. Along with the ciggy plug too etc….I just don’t see the big advantage to the new one

I guess the “advantage” I’d just the built in Bluetooth receiver. From what I’ve noticed with mine, the receiver is very strong. It reaches a much rather distance than my Bose Bluetooth speaker.

You are absolutely correct in that the older version was more versatile than the new c version. USB key playback . And the one with the r was pretty awesome too. The BT functionality could’ve just been added via a dongle, cheap too.
It’s too bad I didn’t decide to get one earlier, would’ve chosen one of those over the c I have now, but don’t get me wrong the pb360c is amazing.
