    Hey everyone,

I found a different IDH182 another day and want to share with you guys.
Another interesting and cool stuff, different from traditional ones….with black ring/collar

Does anyone have seen it before?

I haven’t seen it before but is this a new designation, maybe more power or juice with the black labeling/collar?

looks good but not a huge difference…like you said only the ring/collar from the quick release.

Could be a test market for a new tool design layout .

    Always willing to learn .

So it’s exactly the same as the original, except the little piece of rubber is a different color? I’m failing to see why this warrants a discussion?

Thanks for sharing. It’s always neat to see what is out there. Don’t think I would pay extra (if it is more), but always good to keep updated. Besides at this point of life new and different tools is the best part of my conversations.

Those are old and possibly pre-production models of the IDH182, see this article from Toolguyd in 2012, it has the same black collar and “CORE” marketing:

Maybe a bump in power to compete better…this model isn’t fairing well compared to the newer brushless impacts.

That’s what it looks like…a “prototype” of sorts.

It’s funny to look at some of the comments on the toolguyd site from 4 years ago on that page saying how they wish they could switch from from their other stuff to Bosch after seeing that impact. It just goes to show nobody stays on top. It just goes in circles.

Curious where did you came across one, interesting to see a prototype floating in the wild.

Very true…it has to be very tough to stay on top in this tool world. Think of phone tech 4 years ago.

I’d also be interested in where/how you came across this?

good catch reflector – I saw the “CORE” logo too and thought why would they put it on it as a “special edition” or something like that.

but a special edition of the IDH182 would be very cool. I would definitely grab a second one 😀

i totally agree with the comment about it being tough staying on top. even look at the changes in battery tech over 4 years

i wonder if maybe bosch simply borrowed the ring from something else they have in production and then changed it to red simply for visability

heres a tip, dont fart in a space suit

Hey man, you’re probably right…I already apologise myself for posting this, some guys think it is irrelevant…anyway
Would be nice to get a special edition of the IDH182
