I just saw that the GSA18V will be available as a kit.
    -> GSA18V-083B11
But not sure yet what will be included. It showed up on the bosch website but has no link/page yet.
Lboxx kit and/or kit with batteries?!
If it would be “BL” then I would assume Lboxx kit but “B11”, I have no clue what that stands for.

Jim do you have any info for that product? @bethepro

So I received the compact recip saw and I noticed that it has problems with the battery slot. I tried several batteries but not a single one snaps in.
The last 1/4″ I really have to press the battery in but still doesn’t snap and locks into place. If I would use the tool like the battery falls out.
Might have to call the Bosch hotline tomorrow for a replacement.

They send me a new one and included a return label. I’ll send them the defective unit with the right rma number on the package…but apparently the package didn’t come today. Could have used it for the demo job tomorrow. Well not too bad.
Then I used use a chainsaw lol

Received my new GSA18V very late today. Looks the the postal service was very busy.
anyhow, the compact recip saw works flawless (so far). Tomorrow I’ll do a few cuts with it.
The battery slot is ok and takes any battery. I noticed the 4.0 battery slides and clicks in easier than a 2.0ah battery.

Congrats how’s the balance on the tool with the 4.0 battery pack .

    Always willing to learn .

    Thanks Will.
The 4.0 balances the compact recip saw very well. It’s a great counter weight for the motor part. With the 2.0 battery the recip saw gets a bit front heavy but nothing to complain about.
Next time I see another bosch promo, I’ll definitely get the 12V recip saw.
I used both at the world of concrete and kinda fall in love into both haha.
I got the 18V first because of longer cutting strokes.

Congrats on your GSA18V, the 4.0Ah battery looks like it was meant to fit and balance the compact recip better?

sweet deal, i can’t wait to see you destroy some stuff and since you are working on demo this week, it should be put to great use.

Nice. I want to get both 12v and 18v. I will have to decide which one to get first.
