    Honolulu,, Hi.

Check out the YouTube video on that new one hand unlocking mechanism
I think you just push one side, then lift that same side?

That system would be very useful for a amputee that only has one hand to work with..

True, or anyone with a disability with either hands, just like my friend who is a plumber, at times he struggles, but still is a great plumber.

I was thinking of Bethany Hamilton who just had her 2nd kid. Man that’s a hand full with one arm….

That’s incredible, I remember scuba diving in the 1990 s in Jamaica, we were around 45 feet deep, we saw a few sharks about 25 feet away, I can’t imagine what she went through.

Here’s another thing I just wanted to add to that in regards to it’s disengagement abilities, an LB cannot disengage sideways off of the vacs. It is no different than an L-Boxx in that regard requiring both clasps being physically disengaged with two hands.

It does make sense. The top of the vac is based on the old lboxx design

Myself, I can’t say it bothers me at all. I can live with that totally.

And added to the fact that they subject nothing to high of heavier than what 30 ish pounds?
For tipping? So that should not be a problem for anyone

Probably because of the motor housing because the casters can hold a lot more than that

Thanks, Alex, I didn’t recall that there is a dedicated extractor thread here.

Anyway, this will be the best place to post this excellent feature of the new GAS M extractor

no worries man, just saying because if someone wants to know more about the dust extractor – that’s the right place.

Interesting new unit in that this updated model has a hose size dial adjuster which he says is to adjust suction accordingly to hose size being used. Not sure I understand its necessity seeing as it also has what was priorily called the Power Broker dial to reduce suction also anyways. Seems redundant frankly.

He does confirm some of my own thoughts about how they had considered having an auto-recoiling hose and abandoning it. Just what I thought, when they are new, they work dandy, but as they start to invariably drag debris into the recoil housing, they get buggered up in continued proper functionality.

It’s nothing new – that’s the european model – they have those dials.

I thought it was an update about to come out. My mistake.

I’m not sure if Europes tools come from germany of if they get the imported from asia stuff too.

There is a fair amount of Bosch stuff out of Malaysia, mostly drills I’ve noticed, but I’ll check my vac and see where it is made. I vaguely recall seeing “Made in Germany” on the box it came in earlier this year.

Perhaps the box itself made in Germany? 😂

Now that would be deceptive. Not to say a lot of ‘made in ….wherever’ is not necessarily true. You can import parts made all over the world and only do what is essentially only assembly in a country and claim it is ‘Made in…..” that final assembly country.

    nope 😀
Over there they have all sorts of different hose sizes, so that’s one way to adjust the suction.
