I need to get a 18 v planer.
Is there one on the list???
I have not seen one since I have been on BTP,
But I definitely would like it also,
I have been using the older ni-cad model and love it.October 15, 2017 at 1:07 pm #649401I need to get a 18 v planer.

Not that I can ever remember being on the list.

October 15, 2017 at 4:16 pm #649431My Flexi arrived today – just unboxed it, charged the batteries and tried the heads. I think this is going to be a nice little drill. First box in a loooooong time for me.
You are going to like it. I am really enjoying mine. 4 tools in one.
Lot of flexibility with that design, good reviews make this a ‘top of the list’ item.

ProThe 12V planer looks great and so does the 12V router and the new 12V Brushless Starlock Multi-Tool
I am definitely interested in those tools as well. I could redeem the 12v starlock too but I rather wait for a local sale. hopefully they have it on sale.
the new 12v planer and router seem to be pretty strong for its size.Do you know if or when those planer and router will hit North America in 12volt
Always willing to learn .

I believe I saw somewhere that Q1 2018 was the target for release.

It’s a tool I’m really getting tired of rolling out a cord for.

Bosch makes an 18V planer but it has never been on the list. The bare tool is available on amazon.

Sounds like you need one often. I rarely need one outside my shop, but I’m not a pro like you Dirty. How often do you need to use one typically?

I would definitely consider those also,
I have been watching videos on them, they look like they are very well designed and well built.
Would be worth adding with a couple of higher amp battery packs for them also.October 18, 2017 at 6:41 am #649781Really looking forward to the 12V planer and 12V router; hope they both make it to NA early next year.
I’m interested in seeing the router myself.

Same here. It looks a lot more ergonomically designed than other cordless routers out there currently.

ProSo disappointed in the 12V Starlock because it doesn’t feature a quick -release. One need to use a hex key to lock the blade into place, personally I can wait till the next generation. While the MXH180 may be heavy as an 18V been a game changer. The 12V Starlock seemed like a good addition without somewhat duplicating a tool. Plus sometimes it’s easier to take a 12V tool if I know it’s just for a quick cut or two.

It’s a choice; do you want slim profile head and light weight or QC blade change. It still seems to me like a good tool to have for a couple of quick cuts.

yes that’s right. I believe they will officially announce those newer tools at WOC in Las Vegas in january and then release them to the market."If you're going to do something, do it right the first time"
