Again , always improving the lineup , I would like to see Bosch come out with a compact radio , either 12 volt or 18 volt , but that you can also charge the cell phone from , instead of having two separate things , and instead of hauling the PB360 out

I think the milwaukee box is oversized, who needs this big a box for three lights and a charger? but they had to make it half the size of a regular PACKOUT box for compatibility reasons. I think using this box and the lunch pail cooler PACKOUT box side by side to become one layer of the PACKOUT tower is a great combination.

It seems they should have room in this box to put a radio in though.

Really , I didn’t notice that , I did notice or hear that it has the recognition of going back to what you choose for the lighting range ,ex high low med , that’s a great feature , like he said , would be nice to accommodate larger or bigger smartphones

Price wise, it’s not to bad considering it has 3 lights and a charger 👍

Definitely more interesting seeing Rob Robilard talking about the Packout Light. Drawback is it can charger a cellphone but you’re going to trip the safety charging an iPad.

That’s a good idea the ability to put the radio in the stack.

Radio? It’s the 21st Century, who really listens to the radio anymore?

Radio? It’s the 21st Century, who really listens to the radio anymore?

Radio, that’s a term most use to mean a device that let’s you listen to various stations, but in the context of job site radios, it implies something with 360 speakers, can crank up bass and volume, and has bluetooth connections to let you play whatever on the phone. Anyway my point was I think the M18 PACKOUT light + charger could have been combined with a radio to make that box more versatile.

But at the end of the day, I think Milwaukee’s increasingly integrating more and more tools to the PACKOUT system is taking the PACKOUT way beyond just mobile tool storage boxes. I mean the PACKOUT system can now be ceiling mounts, floor mounts, wall mounts, full sizes, half sizes. stackable tools such as vaccuums, coolers, lunch boxes, backpacks, compressors, radios, light+charger, are all being designed with the PACKOUT integration in mind, and I see all sorts of third party 3D printed products available for the PACKOUT to mount accessories like cup holders, level holders, extension cord arms, bottle openers, first aid kit inserts, caulk gun clamps all kinds of accessories made by different folks that takes it on a totally different level. Unlikr others the PACKOUT now is way more than just a bunch of “boxes that stack and rolls”.

Pack out system is interesting, have one case. What it is or isn’t hardly concerns me. Initially joined this server because there was a threat about Bosch L-Boxx modifications. People were adding speakers into the boxxes. They also were adding lights and other modifications. Really not eager to invest in another storage system, though I do enjoy all my Milwaukee stuff.

Really not eager to invest in another storage system,

I hear you. I am on the TSTAK system and also not switching although I do have two PACKOUT cases from tool purchases. My tools are mostly Milwaukee and some Bosch but my storage is Dewalt.

But the downside of not Milwaukee is mostly the odd stuff that can’t be stacked or organized when getting in and out of a job site every day. The tools can be stacked into boxes, but the round shaped vac has to be handled and stored separately. The compressor has to be handled separately, the lunch box, the radio, etc etc etc where on the PACKOUT they are all part of what you can stack in your van and what you can roll into and out of homes and garages. Makes the organization much easier.

But the biggest drawback for me for the PACKOUT is, the price. If they lower the price significantly I am switching.

No body was bitchin , 🤷‍♂️ just having a conversation about radios

Okay maybe I should have phrased it different , a infotainment box that can be used with the 18 volt battery , and charge smartphones at the same time 😘
