Longtime forum member and moderator, Dabbs, was crushing it last week at the World of Concrete 2017 – literally.
Dabbs rolled into Las Vegas in his camper top and promptly found a free parking space at one of the nearby hotel parking lots. That’s how Dabbs rolls. Free parking, free hotel room on wheels. By the time I saw him at the Bosch booth, he had already been walking around the show for some time and was reporting back to me on a couple of innovative things he had never seen before. I wanted to make sure that Dabbs got the full experience while at our sponsors booth. So I made sure to get him in line to take a shot at the Brute Hammer Challenge.
The Bosch Brute Hammer Challenge sounds relatively simple until you have to do it. Chisel off a chunk of concrete that weighs exactly 10 lbs and win your choice of a Bosch cordless tool. Now Dabbs tells me that he hasn’t had a lot of experience blasting through concrete but he would certainly give it a shot. Well I am here to tell you that Dabbs apparently was sandbagging.
And then he did it!
Of course, he also had to show off his auger bit skills as well. Once he selected the Bosch GBH18V-26K18 V EC Brushless 1 In. SDS-plus® Bulldog™ Rotary Hammer Kit. And in a grand gesture, Bosch threw in two new Bosch CORE18V Li-ion batteries. Now if Dabbs can’t use the extra power I am thinking I know a few folks that can – check out the discussion on CORE18V here.
Thanks to Dabbs for showing up. He really made my day by being there. It was great to show him around and see his reaction to the new products our Sponsor Bosch brought to the show. Hopefully we can get our own BTP Crew at WOC2018.
