World of Concrete is the concrete industry’s only annual international event dedicated to the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries. It showcases leading industry suppliers and features innovative products, construction machinery, construction equipment, safety training courses and training, technologies. In addition, it offers many networking opportunities to give concrete professionals new ways to sustain and grow their businesses. Here’s the point: It’s a big show.
The show takes up most of the Las Vegas Convention Center (north and south halls), as well as all parking lots at the front of the building (it’s in the desert, so there are plenty of outdoor displays). The World of Concrete is considered by many to be one of the top shows in the industry. The outdoor exhibit areas, including the popular masonry construction challenge competitions, Artistry in Decorative Concrete, The Concrete Producer’s Challenge Competitions and other demonstrations, make World of Concrete a spectator event as well. Then there’s the Bricklayer 500 – fastest bricklayer with the most bricks with a clean build wins.
The show includes everything from hand tools and power tools to concrete mixes, trucks, large-scale commercial concrete vehicles, clothing, eyewear, concrete polishing machines – everything that could be used in concrete construction. More than 50,000 attendees are expected to visit Las Vegas for the show. And people notice: Many restaurants, bars, hotels and casinos are adamant supporters or the concrete industry – at least that’s what they’re saying on the signs out front. If you’re involved in the concrete industry – at all, this is a show for you.
